Technical Support Representative
Nexicom is currently seeking a Permanent full-time Technical Support Representative.
Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Trouble Shooting customers Internet connectivity issues;
- Assisting all customers with account inquiries at the counter, over the phone or via e-mail,
- Taking applications for new services and keep customer history current
- Inputting new customer billing and payment information into billing systems for basic services as required
- Providing back up to the Support Team with regards to data entry of telephone programming codes, preparing trouble tickets and locate requests
- The position requires a well-spoken, articulate, pleasant-mannered and flexible, individual with effective listening and analytical skills who delivers excellence in customer service with a professional approach to customers and staff.
- The successful candidate will be required to work from Millbrook ON. _
Qualifications:_
- Minimum entry level post secondary education with some specialization in computers and the internet. (Fibre, wireless, DSL & Cable)
- 1 to 2 years of previous experience in an office environment using business tool
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills;
- A positive, friendly attitude with the willingness and ability to assist our customers and promote our services;
- Ability to learn and share information with others and able to work in a team environment a must;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while effectively managing multiple tasks
- Experience in a structured team environment. Technical Support experience is an asset;
- Data entry, PC repair and maintenance
- Experience setting up WIFI and Email on mobile devices;
- Working knowledge of Windows OS from Windows XP to Windows 10, Apple OS knowledge is an asset;
- Internet and Basic Networking knowledge is an asset;
- Working knowledge of the Internet, Internet technologies, and technological/industry trends, as well as personal computers, e-mail and operating systems, dial-up and high-speed Internet connectivity;
- Familiarity with trouble reporting systems a huge asset.

Accountant
Nexicom is a leading Communications service provider in Central Ontario, with over 125 years of experience. We provide the latest technology...with a neighbourly touch. We're big enough to provide top-quality service, and small enough to give the one-on-one attention that big city providers can't match. We are currently seeking an, Accountant for a maternity leave.
Nexicom offers a fast paced, high energy, work environment. We offer:

Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for coding invoices and for reviewing weekly Accounts Payable to ensure coding is accurate.
- Process and balance bank deposits and daily cash receipts.
- Create/review journal entries to ensure revenue transferred from billing software to accounting software is accurate.
- Provide backup to Accounting Clerk for accounts payable processing.
- Provide support to users of the billing system by creating charges and credit codes.
- Prepare monthly invoices for some vendors.
- Prepare and email out to management monthly customer numbers.
- Must be capable of undertaking assigned projects and some analysis
Education:
v College diploma or University Degree specializing in accounting.
Computer Knowledge:
v Proficiency in Windows-based programs – Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook. Experience in an Accounting program.
Experience:
v One to three years in a general accounting position, an asset.
Condition of Employment:v As a condition of employment and in order to comply with industry related data security standards, this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
